Tomorrow is the first day of practice (rain or shine) for Football & Cheer at Howland Glen (8000 Bridle Lane NE) from 6 to 8pm. Seating is not available, so please bring yourself a chair.

Please use extra caution in the parking lot. There will be a lot of people and little ones walking/running around. ALL Howland School facilities are SMOKE FREE! This includes the parking lot! Thank you for your cooperation

If you haven’t paid Registration, that money will be due at practice.

Please make sure your child has plenty of water and is hydrating throughout the day. Please have them wear comfortable clothing that will keep them cool (shorts, tshirts/tank tops) and tennis shoes—NO sandals! The first 5 days of practice for football will be helmets (with mouth pieces) and cleats only. Once those 5 days are done, practice will be full pads (helmets, mouth pieces, shoulder pads, rib vests, integrated pants, cleats).

There will be a table tent set up by the football practice field. You can come here to pay registration, pick up fundraising tickets, turn in fundraising money and ticket stubs or pick up a T-shirt fundraiser order form.

Football players will practice in the field behind the school. The 100# practice closest to the green fence. 125# practice in the middle of the field, and 145# practice at the end closest to the school building.

Cheerleaders will practice in the grass area in the front of the school building.

Reminder that the team your child is on (for both football and cheer) was determined by their age as of May 1st. 5-8 yr olds are 100#, 9-10 yr olds are 125#, and 11-12 yr olds are 145#. The only exception to this would be a Football player moving up to the next team due to weight.
